Hope

I understand that life is hard. I definitely have faced my fair share of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

Have you ever wondered?

Why am I here?  What is the purpose of life?  How does it all fit together?

In uncertain, painful, and frustrating times, it matters how we respond to these fundamental concerns so that we can maintain hope and a sense of purpose in our lives.

There are many diverse philosophical and theological viewpoints regarding the purpose of life. Some may say that seeking happiness is the ultimate goal, yet others would say it’s about achieving fame and fortune.

Life is a journey of emotion, growth, change, and experiences, filled with moments of love, hate, bitterness, forgiveness, joy, disappointment, and unanswered questions. According to the Bible, living out God’s plan for our life and developing a connection with Him are what make life meaningful.

God’s Word teaches us the meaning of life! In sad moments of confusion, despair, and fear, Jesus can transform them into joy.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 KJV

The Bible teaches about God’s love for us. However; as much as He loves us, He cannot accept sin into heaven. We must come by the way of His Son’s sacrifice. Please read below and find out what it is that God wants you to know.

1. Every person is a sinner.
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 KJV

We are all unworthy to enter heaven by our own merit. We will always fall short no matter how much good we try to do.

2. There is a penalty for sin.
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” Romans 5:12 KJV

What is a sin? A sin is a transgression of law, or anything I do that goes against God. Just as there are rewards for good deeds, there are penalties for wrongdoing. Our sin cost us eternal separation from God in a place called hell.

3. Christ paid our sin debt.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that , while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 KJV

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 KJV

God knew someone had to pay the price. Because of God’s unconditional love for us, He sent His Son, Jesus, to earth to die in our place for our sins.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16 KJV

4.  Believe and Confess
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10 KJV

Believe in Jesus as the One who bore your sin, died in your place, and was resurrected by God, ensuring everlasting life when received as Savior.

God has provided you with the answers that you need in order to know that you are on your way to heaven when you die. This is the most important decision that you will ever make.

Will you call upon the Lord now, and ask Him to forgive you of your sin, come into your heart, and save you?
Please accept God’s free gift of eternal life that He is offering you.

Just tell Him, in your own words, that you know you are a sinner and cannot get to heaven on your own, that you believe Jesus died for you, that you desire to receive Him as your Lord and Savior, and that you trust Him to forgive your sins and give you eternal life.

If you have received Christ as your Savior, would like to know how to grow spiritually, or need someone to talk, please send me an email. I would love to hear from you.

Also, just as Christ died, was buried three days, and rose again for us one time we only have to accept Christ as our Savior one time!

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:13

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
