Hi, I’m Melissa, and I’m so grateful you’re here.
CharityMaeProsper.com was born out of my personal hope and healing journey after a life-altering experience — being struck by lightning. What followed was a long season of physical challenges, unanswered questions, and the struggle to find doctors who understood lightning injuries and their lasting effects.
That season changed my life in ways I never expected.
Through the uncertainty, I discovered how fragile life can feel — but also how faithful God remains. My hope is that this space not only shares encouragement but also raises awareness about lightning strike injuries and the need for greater medical research and support for survivors.
This website is more than a blog. It is a reflection of my faith and healing journey, where I share the lessons God has taught me through pain, perseverance, and restoration.
Finding Strength Through Faith
Throughout my recovery, God became my steady anchor. When fear tried to take over, His promises reminded me I was not alone. When exhaustion and discouragement crept in, His Word strengthened me.
Healing is not always instant. Sometimes it is slow. Sometimes it is layered. Sometimes it requires courage simply to take the next small step.
But through Christ, we are given the strength to endure what feels impossible.
Life can be hard. We face illness, loss, uncertainty, and seasons we never would have chosen. Yet even in those moments, we can cling to hope. We can choose kindness. We can grow in courage. We can rest in God’s love.
That is the heart behind CharityMaeProsper — sharing hope, healing, and Christian encouragement for anyone walking through a difficult season.
Scripture That Carried Me
Two Bible verses have anchored me through every challenge:
Lamentations 3:22–23
“It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Every morning is proof of God’s mercy. Even on the hardest days, His faithfulness does not waver.
Joshua 1:9
“Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
This verse became a personal reminder that courage is not the absence of fear — it is choosing to trust God in the middle of it.
