My Reason to Start Blogging

My reason to start blogging

As I began to research how to heal from being struck by lightning, I struggled to find anything definite regarding lightning strike injuries.  Sadly, most doctors don’t warrant the effort to search this out much because they don’t think this phenomenon happens enough because only one in one million people get struck a year.  In our finite minds, we generally would think those odds were great.

Did you know that there are over 7 billion people in the world today?  With that in mind, those odds don’t seem as great when you consider that means over 700,000 people a year get struck per year!  I think that’s quite a few people that need help with recovery in their injuries.

I understand that everyone that gets struck by lightning differs greatly in their injuries.  However, it does matter greatly in the recovery process to have a doctor, loved one, and/or a friend that is supportive even if they don’t quite understand the vast injuries one may encounter.

This is why I have decided to start this blogging journey.  I am not a doctor nor do I have any medical experience.  Right now most days my thoughts are quite scattered.  I am also not one that likes attention or being in the limelight.  But my desire to try to help others who just need an understanding ear far exceeds my need to stay in the shadows.

Supposedly, it’s supposed to be easy to start a blog in under an hour.  It has taken me four months to get to this point.  I cannot sit at the computer for more than 30 – 40 minutes at a time before my eyes get quite blurry and I start to get a headache.  I’ve watched YouTube videos that are supposed to help you learn quickly, borrowed books from the library, and even bought a book, but to no avail.  This blog thing has been like trying to learn Greek to me.  I plan on persevering and pushing through regardless of how long this takes.

I don’t even know if this will go anywhere, but I am just following my heart.  Please be patient with me.  I will continue to add as I learn how to and have the stamina to work through this.  Thank you in advance for your patience and willingness to learn with me.
