Light in the Shadows, Peace in His Leading

Good morning and happy Sunday! ☀️

May your heart be refreshed today as you worship the Lord. Whatever this week has held, take a moment to rest in His presence and be reminded that His grace is enough and His peace is near.

Light in the Shadows, Peace in His Leading

To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,  to guide our feet into the way of peace. ~ Luke 1:79

There are seasons in ministry where it feels like you are carrying light into very real darkness. You may be praying for others while quietly carrying your own burdens, or encouraging others while needing encouragement yourself. Yet this verse reminds us that God has always used His people to shine His light in dark places.

This prophecy points to Jesus, the true Light of the world. We are not the source of that light, but we are vessels He chooses to use. Whether through teaching, serving, praying, or simply being faithful in quiet ways, He shines through us into places of need and heaviness.

And the promise is just as beautiful: “to guide our feet into the way of peace.” God does not only call us to shine—He leads us. Peace is not something we create in our own strength, but something He gently guides us into, even in busy or weary seasons of ministry.

If you feel like you are walking through shadows today, remember this: the Light has not left you. And if you are stepping into someone else’s darkness, remember the Light goes with you.

You are not the source of the light, but you are held by the One who is—and He will guide your feet into His peace.

Praying that as you serve Him today, He will strengthen you and shine through you in a special way. May He guide your steps into peace and help you reflect His light to those around you.
