I’m excited to introduce the newest addition to my Slow & Steady Faith Turtles Series—the Trust the Path Turtle Coloring Page, featuring Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV).
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Trusting God When We Cannot See the Way
Proverbs 3:5–6 teaches children an important lesson about trusting God. We may not always understand what is happening around us or know what the future holds, but we can trust that God knows the way.
When we try to figure everything out on our own, we can become worried, confused, or afraid. God’s Word reminds us to trust Him with all our heart instead of depending only on what we can see or understand. When we acknowledge Him and seek His direction, we can have confidence that He will guide our path.
The little turtle following the path on this coloring page provides a simple picture of this truth. A turtle may move slowly, but it continues forward one step at a time. In much the same way, children can learn that following God is a step-by-step journey. They don’t have to know every turn along the way because they can trust the One who does.
