Good morning! ❤️
There are times when we experience the pain of losing things that are precious to us. Earthly possessions can be misplaced, stolen, damaged, or simply wear out with time. Yet how comforting it is to know that the greatest gift we have can never be lost.
This week, I experienced one of those difficult reminders. Somehow, I misplaced my business and personal flash drive containing the last nine years of my work and memories. It held memoir journal entries from my journey after being struck by lightning and diagnostic of breast cancer, devotionals, Scripture journaling plans I had written, and important business files. Losing it has been a heartbreaking setback, and I’ve spent countless hours retracing my steps, hoping it will turn up. Even in the disappointment, the Lord has gently reminded me that while earthly treasures may disappear, the eternal inheritance we have in Christ is forever secure.
Born of an Incorruptible Seed
1 Peter 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
As I was reading 1 Peter 1:23 this morning, I couldn’t help but thank the Lord for this precious reminder. Sometimes we lose things here on earth that are valuable to us, and it can be discouraging. But I’m so thankful that we can never lose the greatest gift of all—our salvation in Christ.
When we trust Christ as our Savior, we are born again through the incorruptible Word of God. His Word is living, eternal, and unchanging. Our salvation is not based on anything temporary, but on the everlasting work of God. While the things of this world pass away, the life He gives endures forever.
Today, I’m thankful that even though we may lose valuable things here on earth, we can never lose our salvation in Christ. What an incredible assurance to rest in the unchanging promises of God’s Word. Let that truth fill your heart with peace, gratitude, and confidence as you walk with Him.
Praying you have a wonderful day filled with His peace, joy, and the assurance of His faithful promises. Love ya! 💕
