Finishing with Joy | Acts 20:24 Devotional

Good Morning! 🌷

Good morning! This Acts 20:24 devotional, “Finishing With Joy,” is a reminder that no matter what this week has held, God remains faithful and His grace is still enough.

Life often brings trials, disappointments, and seasons that stretch our strength. Yet even in hardship, the believer is still called to walk forward in faith and testify of the goodness of God.

“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24

Finishing Our Course With Joy in Christ

The apostle Paul is a powerful example of endurance. He experienced persecution, suffering, rejection, and deep affliction. Yet none of these things moved him away from his calling.

Paul was not focused on comfort or ease. His heart was set on one goal: to finish his course with joy and faithfully declare the gospel of the grace of God.

This same calling encourages us today. We are not just trying to survive life’s trials—we are called to remain faithful in them.

When Trials Become a Test of Faith

Difficult seasons often bring us to a place of decision. We can allow discouragement, fear, or frustration to take over, or we can allow God to use those very trials to strengthen our faith.

God has never promised a life without sorrow, but He has promised something greater—His sustaining grace.

In our weakest moments, His strength is made perfect. When we feel like we cannot continue, His presence carries us forward.

God Is Still Working in Your Season

Perhaps today you are walking through something unseen by others. It may be grief, uncertainty, ministry fatigue, or unanswered prayer.

Be encouraged—God has not forgotten you.

What feels heavy today may become the very testimony God uses tomorrow to strengthen someone else. Nothing is wasted in His hands.

Pressing Forward With Joy

As you step into this Sunday, ask the Lord to help you continue your course with joy. Not because everything is easy, but because Christ remains faithful.

His grace is still sufficient. His Word is still true. And He is still working all things together for good.

May we, like Paul, learn to press forward in faith—turning our trials into testimonies and bringing glory to God in every season.
