As we begin another Lord’s Day, I’m thankful for God’s faithfulness during difficult times and through every season. Whatever you may be facing today, remember that He sees you, He is still working, and He has brought you farther than you ever thought possible. May we encourage one another and rejoice in His goodness today!
When the Rains Finally Come
“Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.” Joel 2:23
Joel spoke to people who had endured devastation. Their land had been ravaged by locusts, leaving them discouraged and wondering if things would ever be restored. Yet God called His people to return to Him and gave them a reason to hope.
Sometimes our healing journey can feel much the same.
We may face physical pain, emotional struggles, or spiritual weariness that seem to go on far longer than we ever expected. There may be days when we wonder how much longer we can keep going or whether we will ever feel like ourselves again.
But Joel 2:23 reminds us that God is still faithful in the difficult seasons.
The rain was a picture of God’s provision and restoration. After a season of barrenness came the promise of rain again. In our own lives, the first signs of healing may seem small—a little more strength, a better day, a new ability, or simply realizing that we have come farther than we once thought possible.
Those small victories matter.
Sometimes God’s restoration comes little by little, like the first raindrops after a long dry season. We may not see the whole picture, but we can trust the One who does.
When I look back over my own healing journey, I can see just how far God has brought me. There were times when I could not imagine making it through another difficult day, much less seeing the progress I see today. Yet here I am. Not because every struggle disappeared, but because God continued to give me strength for the next step.
God has brought me farther than I ever thought possible. 😊
And perhaps you need to be reminded of that today. Don’t overlook the small victories simply because you are still waiting for the bigger ones. Look back and remember where God brought you from. Every step forward is evidence of His grace and faithfulness.
Your journey may be different from mine, and your healing may not happen in the way or time-frame you hoped for. But don’t give up. Keep trusting God. Keep taking the next step. Keep moving forward.
The rain may begin with only a few drops, but those drops remind us that God is still working.
The tears you cried, the battles you survived, and the days you thought you wouldn’t make it through are reminders of God’s sustaining grace. What once seemed impossible is now part of your testimony. Look how far He has brought you! Don’t give up now. Keep trusting Him, keep taking the next step, and remember that the God who carried you this far is still working in your life.
Praying each of you feels His strength, peace, and presence today. May God continue to carry you, strengthen you, and remind you just how far He has brought you. ❤️
