Reward for the Righteous

David desired for the world to comprehend that there is a moral order under God in which goodness is rewarded and wickedness is judged. He yearned for the justice that these evil rulers refused.

“All men shall be forced by the sight of the final judgment to see that there is a God, and that he is the righteous ruler of the universe. Two things will come out clearly after all – there is a God and there is a reward for the righteous.” (Spurgeon)

One day every being will humbly bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Ephesians 2:10-11).  This does not imply universal salvation, but rather that every individual will eventually confess Christ’s lordship, either with joyous faith or with bitterness and despair.

I’m thankful that I am on the winning side! Are you?
