LS & BC Memoirs – March 10-12, 2022

March 10

6.20 I’m exhausted and worn out. Whole body very stiff and hurting. Slight headache. Feeling a little discombobulated. Sinuses congested. 199. Yay! Down three more lbs.

So much to do I don’t want to get up.

Numbers 35-36; 1 Peter 3:15; Ephesians 6:19-20; Colossians 3:15

While attempting to sit up in bed, I put pressure on my rt hand and instant severe pain!!! Apparently I must have bruised it worse that I thought. It’s a little swollen and aches, but only have excruciating pain when I put pressure on it.

7.12 up, dressed, bed partially made (arms feeling very weak this week). Put load of towels in wash. Now have pulsating throbbing pain (not sure that’s best way to explain) in my nerves throughout body. Feels very weird. Tired and shallow breath. Resting a moment.

Potatoes in crockpot for dinner (sour cream and chives mashed potatoes). My arms are burning.

Balance checkbook so I can see what we have to get rest of items for dinner. Takes me a while but got it figured out. Have to change up dinner menu. After asking what everyone else served, discovered they all served some type of pork. I’m changing to roast, sour cream and chives mashed potatoes, and carrots. Roast on sale at local grocery store.

Church errands for tomorrow. Pick up roast, rest of dinner items for tonight, and items for church tomorrow.

Thankful to be back home. Joe helped me bring items inside. I’m so exhausted and hurting. Oh, I almost forgot the rolls.

I need a nap. Alarm set for an hour. Crash quickly then woken by commercial on Spotify 25 minutes later. Turn Spotify off, but unable to fall back to sleep.

Headache. Nerves burning throbbing thru body. Eyes watery. Indigestion. Still exhausted. I can smell the roast. It smells delicious. We haven’t had a roast in long time. Pain level about a 7. I really would like to have less pain, Lord. I’d also like to have more energy. Thankful to be alive.

4:00 I’ve overdone it today. My body is writhing with pain. Center of chest feels like I pulled a muscle – sharp stabbing pain.

5.30 our family fed the Evangelist tonight. Dinner (after changing menu there times) is roast beef with gravy, sour cream and chives mashed potatoes, cooked baby carrots, and homemade yeast rolls. Dessert was homemade strawberry shortcake. He loved it (so did my family ).

He was tickled to see what we were serving. He has thoroughly enjoyed the home cooked meals this week, and said he doesn’t get home cooking very often.

Thankfully, most of it I was able to cook in slow cookers. Even that is quite a feat for me, especially post LS. I’m exhausted and hurting, but I love serving the Lord.

Need to lay down a little bit to rest before services.

9.46 good day overall. I’m beyond exhausted and hurting immensely. Pain level 7/8. Feel like I’m going to crash.

Thankful for:

  1. Family helping me with dinner once they all got home.
  2. God grace is sufficient for me
  3. Tomorrow is another day

March 11

4:00 woke to extreme pain in arms, torso, and legs. Took while to fall back to sleep. Strange dream.

7:21 overslept alarm. In extreme pain from head to toes. Eyes are leaking.and a I want to cry.

6:28 power flickered. Help Rae study for quiz today.

Deuteronomy 7:9; Deuteronomy 1-2; Romans 1:21

Trying to find lodging for graduation and a wedding is difficult. Had to change pace work on bulletin a little. Brain is done for the moment. Headache. Need to rest. Tired. Pain has ease a little…down to 6.

3:27 not feeling well presently. A bit shaky, nerves stinging. Just feel off. Feet very cold.

530 in preparation for the dinner things started getting chaotic which caused my anxiety levels to rise. I started panicking bc I couldn’t think straight. I tried asking for help but apparently, I was having difficulty saying things right. Only two at first that jumped in to help was Rae & Kayla. I began telling people what to do to help, but when Rae started panicking I felt myself losing it. I told Rae to go get Dad.

Joe came in to ask what I needed. I told him. He gave me hug and told me it was going to be okay. Seeing that I needed more comfort than that he hugged me again, kissed me on forehead and reassured me that I was doing a good job and all would be okay. I smiled and started calming down. More people then jumped in to help. I had gotten overwhelmed and couldn’t think straight.

Dinner was delicious. There was plenty of food.

March 12

7ish Woke to severe pain through our entire body. Both arms and add numbish, tingling, and throbbing. Hurts to move. Sinuses congested. Feel like a lump in back of throat. Skin sensitive – hair on neck feels like stinging ants crawling on me. Upon standing to use restroom, feet feel like I’m stepping on fiery hot broken glass. Eyes watery. Tired. Feel like I could sleep all day. Thirsty.

Joe graciously massages my back with essential oils pain liniment.

2 Peter 1:4; Deuteronomy 3-4; Proverbs 10:8

Cannot lay in bed any longer it hurts too much

12 neighbor called Joe to ask for help. Decided to join him. They appreciated us coming over.  Blessed us with coffee.

On way home, another neighbor talking in our yard with son. In midst of conversation, he told us if we need anything to let them know. We told them same.

4 birthday party Kayla. Small get together with couple church families. It was nice. Center of chest sharp stabbing while sitting in chair. Tried to move to ease pain but it didn’t seem to help.

6p back home. I’m tired. Girls wanted to watch a movie. Leftovers for dinner. Movie not what was expected. Did not like it or what it was teaching. Feet freezing. Tourniquet tightening feeling in lower left leg with numbness and tingling.

7.30p must get bulletin finished. Took while to finish. Chased squirrels several times. Chest center hurts more. Tired. Keep yawning. Feet freezing and I’ve had socks on all day. Nerves stinging. Upper and center back throbbing. Rt hand severe stabbing pain when I put pressure on it. Don’t know why. Hand now throbbing. Chest pain really hurts.

11p very tired. Chest center hurting more. Get up to touch toes. Sometimes it helps adjust cartilage and bones in chest and back. Chest popped on second bounce. Ouch!! Now it hurts worse. Apply pain rub and take 800mg ibuprofen. Exhausted. I think Costo is trying to flare up.

Random hiccups.

Thankful for…

  1. Blessing of visiting with neighbors. Joe does most of talking.
  2. Seeing brothers in Christ begin to grow in the Lord more
  3. Willingness of people wanting to spread the gospel
