March 28

6.0/ woke to much pain in upper body region. Feels like I’ve been beaten up. Head hurts. Pain level an 8.

When I hurt this bad, I usually take pain Rx but I cannot until after appt on Wednesday. Supposedly Tylenol is safe but it usually doesn’t do the trick.

Rae busy lady today. Had photography shoot for Tara’s Senior photos.

While she was away…made break up bread for breakfast. Posted devotional to website. Posted few journal entries to website. Vision started to blur and brain hurting so I took break.

Came home ate lunch and then permed my hair. My payment is to treat her to frozen yogurt. Yum . Found home perm kit on clearance for $1 a couple years ago and bought what was on the shelf. Huge savings.

Wash couple loads of clothes. Put rods and papers on towel to dry.

Checked on potatoes, basil, and peppers. I have potato sprouts. Yay.  Basil growing good. Pepper sprout died.

Type up cleaning schedule for church. Tired and need a break. Nerves stinging. Muscles throbbing.

Piano lesson tonight. Treat Rae to frozen yogurt afterwards.

Attempted to cut Jordon’s hair but I had difficulty with my hands – kept dropping the comb and almost dropped the clippers. Made a mistake and ended up having to almost buzz him. He says he’s okay with it, but I feel really bad. At least his hair grows quickly.

Hands swollen and throbbing. Tired. Cramping on rt side near hip area. Low back throbbing. Nerves stinging throughout. Leg muscles burn as I’d I tried to walk a mile. Feet throbbing, stinging, and cold. Sinuses acting up – lots of pollen in the air right now.

Night vitamins taken plus niacin, 3- 1k mg C, and 1/2 benadryl.

7.00 not sure how long I’ve been awake. I hurt something fierce all over. Hands and arms muscles burning and throbbing. Legs muscles ache deeply. Feet hurt. Stood to use restroom and feet felt like I was walking on broken glass. I feel like I got beat up badly.

Had strange dream but it was going so fast in my head I couldn’t focus on anything in particular. Woken by our cat.

Exercises in bed

  1. Quad set

With legs straight out, tighten thigh muscles while pushing your knee down into bed. Hold for 5-6 seconds. Rest. Repeat about 5 times.

  1. Ankle pump

While lying in bed or sitting in a chair, pull your toes up to your head then point your toes down. Hold for few seconds in each position. Repeat 5 times.

  1. Glute squeeze

Drive your heels into the bed while squeezing the backs of your legs together. Hold for 5 seconds. Relax. Repeat 5 times.

  1. Partial Heel Slide

Do one leg at a time. Slide heel bringing leg up as far as you can and slide it back down. Repeat 5 times on each leg.

  1. Hip rotations

Do one leg at a time. Rotate toes out then rotate all the way back in. Do same on other leg. Repeat sets 5 times.

Ouch! Forgot about rt hand and put pressure on it getting in bed. Immediate sharp stabbing pain. Oh, it hurts.

Ears ringing, hands stinging throbbing and swollen, feet freezing

Vision a bit blurred this morning making reading difficult. It’s as if I have wrong pair of lenses on my eyes. Rub eyes to clear the excess fluid. Skin itchy. Sinuses acting up.

Paid bill. Finished Rae’s camp registration online. Off to church. Rae & I finishing up staining pieces for the kitchen backsplash. Allowing them to dry in sun for a bit. Need to rest a while.

Helped Rae a little picking up sticks until pain in back too much and legs feel like Jell-O.

6:00 I’ve pushed too hard today and I’m feeling it. Headache. Nerves throbbing burning. Muscles throbbing. Back throbbing like a toothache with the nerve exposed. Cannot take any pain Rx due to procedure tomorrow.

People keep asking me if I’m okay and if I’m nervous. I’m not, but being asked that a bunch of times kinda make a gal think should I be? The resounding answer in my head is NO bcuz I have Christ with me every step of the way and my husband will be there in waiting room. Besides if I don’t control my nerves and keep calm it will cause me more pain than I already am in.

11:07 I’m having trouble falling asleep due to the pain. Whole body nerves stinging burning and muscles throbbing.
