Cornelia Arnolda Johanna “Corrie” ten Boom, a Dutch watchmaker and Christian writer, helped Jewish people escape the Nazis during WWII by hiding them in her home. Arrested and imprisoned, she wrote The Hiding Place, a biography about her family’s efforts.
