7:23 KF sends encouraging text to let me know she’s praying for me. Shares …

Psalms 5:11-12 “But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exalt in you. For you bless the righteous,O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.”

Psalm 119:7; 2 Chronicles 29-31; Psalm 48

9:20 bloody nose. Have to pinch nose for minute to get it to stop. Headache. Face hurts.

9:35 called Dr office. Spoke with nurse. Severe pain is from the Neulasta. Dugh! Asked me about taking Claritin. Had to explain what happened last time and suggested I take Zyrtec this time. I’m getting bloody noses again. Tylenol and ibuprofen are not helping. (I wouldn’t be calling if I could manage the pain myself). Suggested I use a heating pad. Dr going to write me an rx for pain, but I have to come pick up the written Rx in couple hours and take to pharmacy myself.

10:00 applied heating pad to legs. It seemed to help a little. Pain in arms still severe and bad headache. Took pain rx.

2:00 starting to feel a little nauceous. Trying some crackers to start.

3:20 nausea is starting to ease. I’m so tired. Amazing how much energy pain zaps out of you.

Applying heating pad to left arm now.

4:28 Dez text me pic. Several of church people went knocking doors this afternoon to invite kids to VBS. The youngest member wanted to go. PTL

4:50 heating up soup. Pick up in kitchen a little while waiting.

5:00 forcing myself to eat a bowl of chicken noodle soup. The thought of food just makes me want to puke right now. Managed to eat almost a bowl full.

I’m exhausted and need to lie down a little bit. Feeling a bit shaky. Corners of eyes watery periodically throughout the day?

Applied heating pad to left arm for a bit. Maybe helped tiny bit. Pain in left arm still great.

10:07 I’m exhausted and in pain from head to toes. Level 6/7 instead of 8/9

July 19

3:30 woken by pain throughout body, migraine, and indigestion. Sucked on ginger chew. Applied pain rub to left shoulder – it hurts so bad it feels like it’s out of place, but I know it’s not.

4:00 waited until Joe was awake before stirring too much. Took 2 Excedrin migraine and a gerd pill. Drink water. Everything thing tastes off. Ended up asking Joe for ice pack. Applying to left shoulder. If heat isn’t helping maybe ice will. Least worth a try. I just want to cry .

Song: Middle of My Storm Decided to listen to music while reading Bible. Words in songs distracting me from what I’m reading. Switch to instrumental hymns.

Isaiah 41:10; Hosea 1-7;

5:30 sit up to chew a few papaya enzymes and nose rt side starts bleeding. Ugh. Looked up bloody noses during chemo. Apparently, they’re a normal side effect of chemo for some people. Thread on cancer survivor network suggest vitamin E oil applied inside nose in morning and evening. Problem goes away when chemo is done. Much rather do vitamin E oil than vasoline.

Chemo Bloody Nose: Tips to Manage & Prevent During Treatment

5:45 combination of bloody nose and indigestion ended up making me sick to my stomach. Need to try to rehydrate. I don’t want to go down that road again. Icing arm seems to have eased pain a little. Eating popsicle to soothe throat from stomach acid. Cherry pineapple doesn’t that bad. Wish there were healthy popsicle. Will have to research that one. Drinking body armour to help replenish electrolytes.

Ephesians 6:17

7:30 I’m so tired. Think I’ll try to take a nap. Rt eye twitching. Stomach seems to have calmed down some. Still have headache. sinuses congested. Stomach hurts. Lft shoulder, arm, wrist, and hand throbbing. Slept for 1.5 hours. Forcing myself to go get my Rx from Dr office then take to pharmacy. Tummy is upset. Dezirae is taking me.

10:30 think the diarrhea is starting back up. Gagged in car. Gonna need to work harder on getting fluids down. Food is not appealing right now. Stop at pharmacy to get Rx filled. Need to use wheelchair Will take 30 minutes. Ugh. Shop for few groceries to keep me hydrated. Dezirae suggesting that I start wearing my caps with hair down on sides because my hair has thinned out so much you can see my scalp.

11:50 Joe called to check on me. Telling me to drink, drink, drink because the diarrhea is sign of dehydration. Don’t want to go that route again. I’m exhausted from the outing. Able to eat a small bowl of Mac n cheese. Tummy hurts. I feel weak. Chest starting to hurt. Think the costochondritis is flaring up.
