June 26
2:00 Joe took my temperature. I vaguely remember, but no fever. Praise the Lord.
8:00 Joe says I feel hot, but the thermometers read 99°. I feel lousy like I have the flu, but different than the upper respiratory infection. Bones ache deeply. Low back throbbing. Bad headache. Took one Excedrin. This is going to be a rough ride. Joe wants one of the kids to stay home with me. Both want to go to church. Cool. I suggested they take turns.
8:20 Need to try to drink lots of fluids today. Not going to be doing much today. Using the fitbit app to log fluid consumption.
Leviticus 19:18; 1 Kings 20-21
9:00 getting nauceous. Took Rx. Sucking on ginger chew. Tummy hurts.
9:04 Joe calls to let me know the A/C’s are out at church. Nice. Devil sure is fighting overtime. Asked Dez for piece of toast to have something on my stomach. Trouble eating it. Playing wholetones music.
1100 my chest is hurting. I think it might be from heaving but I’m not 100% sure
11:30 dry heaving again
4:49 dry heaving again – I’m actually coughing up phlegm but that’s about it. Sipping on cold water and eating small bites of unsweetened applesauce. It tastes different than I remember. Whole body riddles with deep bone pain. That was the one thing I didn’t want.
5:05 severe pelvic pain comes and goes
June 27
4:50 throat hurts. Small sips of cold water seem to help the best. Lips chapped. Slight bloody nose. Whole body stiff and throbbing moderately strong.
5:00 had to take another nauceous pill. Have slightly bloody nose is making me gag causing me to dry heave or cough up phlegm. I know why they suggested the miracle mouthwash now. Your throat hurts horribly from vomiting. Ugh. Sipping cold water. I’m exhausted so I’ll close my eyes momentarily.
8:30 alarm sounds and I’m still very sleepy. Severe sharp stabbing pain in pelvic region. Joe wants me to let him know how I’m doing every couple hours. Teens go to camp this week. The lethargy feels just like when I was first struck by lightning except I have more of mental clarity now than then. Gonna have to figure out how to muster up energy.
1 Kings 22; 2 Chronicles 18; Matthew 16:25: Psalm 91:1
As long as I keep up with the anti-nausea medicine, I’m not dry heaving or coughing up phlegm. Managed to wash load of towels and load of my clothes out of necessity. Have the trots and didn’t realize it until too late. Bone pain is miserable and making it difficult to get comfortable. Applying heat for few minutes helps a little bit, but it comes right back. Drank 4 oz pomegranate juice which gave me fierce indigestion. Ugh. Able to sit in chair in living room for couple hours before tiring out. Voice little raspy this morning and now I’ve about lost my voice. I sound like a squeaky mouse. Lol. Several family members came to check on me. I enjoyed it as I was able.
Able to hold down dinner – leftover fried rice with ground beef added. Only able to eat half the bowl.
Received “Happy Mail” from a fellow Pastor’s wife. Psalm 91 T-shirt and ginger chews. I just told God this morning that I needed more ginger chews.
