Faith, Frustrations, and a Redhead Possibility – July 29-30, 2022

July 29

4:30 woke to use restroom. Very hot and little perspiry, but as soon as I get out from under covers I’m freezing. Bad headache. Whole body throbbing with severe pain in upper torso, arms, and hands. Top of tongue hurts.

7:00 woke little bit before alarm. I’m in so much pain. Bad headache. Low back throbbing now. Sinuses congested some causing facial pain. I don’t want to move.

Joe rubs my back. It feels good. Make mistake of pushing second pillow to floor so I can lay flat. Didn’t last long because doing so I pushed the port again collar bone causing pain.

I think pain is combination of the thunderstorms all week and doing too much y’day at church. I’m so tired.

8:30 Dr appointment today. Bad headache. Muscles ache deeply all over. Pain 7. It’s weird – lately the more I hurt the more the corners of my eyes leak (and I’m not crying).

Received a compliment on my shirt. Dezirae found me a new Tshirt at the Thrift Store. It says “I have Jesus in my heart “.

9:15 Joe checked to see when I would be called back for blood work. Nurse checked and said it should be any time now. Five minutes later, she personally took me to the lab and told the nurses I needed to have blood drawn. Lol.

Update 7/29:

Had a good visit today. Vitals are good. Blood work looks good.

BP 124/83; pulse 81; temp 79.1; weight 181

Dr is pleased that my bone marrow counts are in normal range already and I’m still a week out from next chemotherapy treatment.

They weren’t too happy that I was in a lot of pain today (7). I have a bad headache and deep muscle pain all over. Dr wrote a script for stronger pain rx to use but especially for during the deep bone pain for after the chemo treatment.

He’s also concerned about my still having a bit of congestion in my chest and still coughing up green phlegm. He’s giving me an antibiotic to try to clear it up.

Joe expressed concern that I wasn’t taken care of right away on Tuesday when I called to get fluids. He wasn’t too happy to hear that. He’s going to check into where the break down occurred so it doesn’t happen again. He gave me options for next time I may need fluids.

He’s okay with my taking probiotics to help with the severe diarrhea. He was pleased to hear what I’ve tried to help alleviate it. He even gave some otc suggestions to check out.

I also asked about options for head coverings. He said he would have someone call to talk to me about that. I may consider being a red head. Lol.

.

I had several questions written down today to ask Dr about. He took the time to answer my questions and address our concerns. It is such a great feeling to have a Dr be in my corner for a change. Thank you, Lord.

.

Started getting hungry on way home. Joe made breakfast once we got home. I made myself some hot green tea. Took Tylenol sinus for headache and morning meds and vitamins.

.

Joe had me order ignition coils for my van. Can’t really afford them, but can’t afford to not get them. Trusting God to provide.

Still have bad headache. Going to lay down a piece to see if I can get rid of migraine.

July 30

7:00 been awake for a couple hours or so. My head is pounding and my body hurts all over. Sinus pressure on face and congested. Lights bothersome.  Strange dream about a mean Sasquatch. Don’t know what that’s supposed to mean?  Took Tylenol sinus. .

Fell back to sleep for couple hours. Stormed first part of day. Making muscles and nerves hurt.

Jordon went to part store to get oil pan. On way home it was raining, received call that he’d been rear ended. Ugh. Joe went to investigate. Happened as he was attempting to enter our neighborhood. Scion left rear end messed up pretty bad. Called our insurance company. No one called back. Called insurance claim line. Nice lady gave me phone number to other drivers insurance company. Called his insurance company. Made claim. Took notes. Probably be Monday before we will hear anything back. Praying the other driver will admit fault to his insurance company. Jordon needs car for work and school. Jordon shook up pretty bad, sore, and aching, but I think he will be okay. Suggested he soak in Epsom salt bath.

Joe took me to pick up my prescription and pick up a few groceries. Had trouble locating “not from concentrate” orange juice. Publix employee helped me. Told her that I was just starting my cancer journey and I’m doing what I can to also fight it naturally too. She wished me well and said that Publix was here for me. She also suggested Kale. I agreed green leafy vegetables were important. She put a smile on my face today. .
