Good morning! π
Matthew 9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. (Matthew 9:1-8; Mark 2:1-12; Luke 5:17-26)
In Capernaum, four men carried their paralyzed friend to a packed house where Jesus was teaching. Undeterred by the crowd, they climbed the roof, made an opening, and lowered him before Jesus.
Their bold actions revealed deep faith. Yet Jesus’ first response wasnβt physical healingβit was spiritual, forgiving the man’s sins. This reminds us that God often works differently than we expect, addressing our deepest needs first.
As Oswald Chambers said, βFaith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading.β True faith trusts God’s plan over our own desires.
As we serve our families and church community today, may we remember that God’s ways are always bestβand be willing to set aside our own expectations and emotions when His plans unfold differently than we imagined. Praying you have a Superb Sonday on purpose. ππΊ
