8:20 slept until 5:30 to use bathroom and because my heart felt like it was pounding out of my chest. Had difficulty with my balance getting to the bathroom and almost fell. Grabbed for something to hold on to and caught Joe’s feet. Lol. I feel like I’ve been beaten up badly and have severe bone pain throughout body. Deep breathing exercises. Chest starting to hurt. Had Joe feel my chest to see if he could feel it. He could. He rubbed chest for few minutes until I told him it was hurting more. Deep breathing exercises until I fell back to sleep.
Isaiah 33:22; Jeremiah 4-6; Psalm 9:9-10; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-6
Nauceous, severe bone pain, exhausted, neuropathy in arms, hands, and feet. Headache. Feet freezing. Put socks on. Sucking on ginger chews. Bad headache. Took morning meds and vitamins. Took 1/2 hydrocodone pill for pain.
Blood sugar has been a little elevated during each round of chemo. In research, learned that the steroid dexamethasone can cause raise in blood sugar levels in non diabetic patients.

Now to add that to my list of questions for the doctor. It could also be the culprit for the headaches, and pounding heartbeat. Vomiting. Took Phenergan. Stayed in bed most of day. Only up to use restroom or get fluids when someone wasn’t home. Slept a lot. I feel like I’ve been run over by a Mack truck. Starting to get nauseous again. Took Phenergan. I don’t like vomiting.

Fell asleep writing in my journal. I’m exhausted and lack energy. Feel like I got ran over.
Song: ♫ I just keep trusting my Lord ♫
Psalm 149:4; Jeremiah 7-9; Psalm 18:2-3
I feel horrible. Chest pounding hard, chest hurts, lethargic, shaky, dizzy upon standing up too fast, feel like I was run over by a Mack truck.
Managed to put load of clothes in washer and dryer. Attempted to start second load but forgot to put the clothes in washer. Had to allow it to run its cycle. Second load in washer now. Folded load of clothes, but they’re still sitting on bed.
Told Joe I was feeling horrible. He told me to call the Dr. I knew what his concern was, but I don’t want to go to ER.
Called Dr. Nurse called me back. Because I’m having chest pains, she automatically told me to go to the ER. Ugh! Called Joe. He’s on his way home to take me.
ER waiting room is full. I’m shaking so bad I feel like I’m prone to fall. Joe asks for help with getting me a wheelchair. Check in nurse sympathizes with me and suggests we sit in glass room away from the sickies.
EKG done first thing. Triage nurse took information and vitals. Bp 106/75; pulse 118; oxygen 98
Don’t allow them to access port. It’s only for chemo treatments. Nurse thinks I’m probably dehydrated. Will run more tests.
One of triage nurses’ aunt was struck by lightning. She survived. May not need to be taking BP meds while getting chemo.
After a while, called back by another nurse for blood work. He asked questions. He said that I was too precious to be sitting in the waiting area with all the sickies. Asked where I was sitting. Told him about glass room. He said that would be fine or outside. We don’t need me getting sick. He said he’s looking forward to the day that I can say you beat cancer. The guy took 4 vials. Boy, my blood looks extra dark red today. He left port in arm because they’ll probably be doing more stuff back there. I told him I’ll probably need fluids too for dehydration.
Insurance adjuster called Joe while we were in waiting room. Need to submit photos of the damage on the car.
4:45 x-ray taken of chest. Dr will give me results.
5:02 swabbed for Covid. Ahh. It burns. Nurse said that the swab checked for Covid, influenza, and RSV.
6:45 CTA Chest PE. Cat scan with and without contrast for pulmonary embolism. Tech’s Grandma, Dorothy, has breast cancer too. He said he’d praying for me. I told him I’d pray for his Grandma.
6:56 recheck vitals. BP 107/73 pulse 99
Dumb journal erased rest of my entries so I don’t recall exact times things happened. Waited in waiting area until well after 10p before being called. I had actually gone to registration nurse and asked if I was still in the system. Few moments later I was being called back.
Told everything like old good. Can’t figure out why I’m hurting. Gave me three meds one was a GI cocktail to calm my GI tract.
Told nurse that it burned going down and it feels like my throat is swelling. Started coughing. Told Joe it feels like my throat is swelling. She said I be feeling better in no time. Sent home.
I ended up having a severe allergic reaction to the GI cocktail. Had to take Benadryl. I feel worse than before I went to the ER.
