12:29a 107/73 p99 GI cocktail, Pepcid, and protonics
ER nurse had a teacher in high school that was struck by lightning.
ER Dr was kind of hard to understand. He has weird sense of humor too. Asked if I’ve ever had heart problems before. Told him No not that I know of. Asked if I had a cardiologist. Told him No. He said good because you don’t need one. All the tests looked good. Your heart looks good. Asked me what’s been going on. I told him. He said I was having palpitations. They would probably give me something for the pain and get me to feeling better.
Blood work looks fine. Negative for Covid, influenza, and RSV. GI cocktail numbed my lips, throat, and esophagus. It tasted awful . I couldn’t feel my throat to swallow. I ended up gagging and almost vomiting, which is what they were trying to help me not do. Ugh. I left the hospital feeling just as bad as when I went, but hungry and very thirsty. This visit was plain awful. The nurses were all nice though trying to keep me away from the other sickies so I didn’t get sick.
7:30 woken by extreme pain in center of my chest. I’m beginning to think the costochondritis is flaring up too. Took 400mg ibuprofen, applied pain rub, and maneuvered to pop chest. It eased a little. I’m exhausted.
Luke 12:6-7; Jeremiah 10-13; Psalm 23
Periodic chest pains. Resting today. Put load of clothes in dryer. Prepared PKG for Jakob and Bri. Everything I eat or drink today is hurting my stomach. It’s almost as if the medicine they gave me did more harm than good. My esophagus is on fire right now.

I did not have indigestion to start with y’day. They were just guessing. I’m not doing that again!!!
1 Thessalonians 5:1-6
My esophagus is burning. My stomach hurts and feels bloated. I have blisters on my tongue. Throat burning. Everything I eat or drink today is giving me indigestion. I’ve taken gerd Rx, probiotics, papaya enzymes, apple, milk. It’s eased a little bit not much.
Thankful for
1. Being in comfort of own home; 2. Joe taking care of me; 3. Joe & I able to have heart to heart talk with Dezirae today.
Decided to look up side effects of the medicines they gave me at hospital last night. I may be having allergic reaction to one or two of the medicines. Throat feels swollen, hard time swallowing, esophagus feels like it’s on fire, watery stools, nauceous and gagging, stomach feels bloated/swollen, blisters on tongue (they weren’t there before). Guess I need to report it to my Dr tomorrow. I also noticed today that the skin on my right arm is looking odd. I’m getting light spots. Not sure if that’s from the chemo or not.

7:00 woke to esophagus burning, stomach upset, lips hurting, throat hurting, and feeling nauseous.
Song – ♫ Middle of My Storm ♫
Few minutes later vomiting. Throat and esophagus burning more. I’m exhausted and feel miserable.
Psalm 46:1; Jeremiah 14-17; Psalm 34:18-19
Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
Called my Oncologist office. Spoke with nurse regarding my systems following ER visit. She agreed that I’m probably allergic to the GI cocktail. Suggested to take Benadryl, nausea Rx, and anti-diarrhea Rx. I am also going to Dr office this afternoon for fluids. Need to secure a ride.

Able to get bills paid through next paycheck. I need refill on vitamins but lack extra funds to get them. Hopefully, I can start juicing again tomorrow. Being down a car makes things difficult. Sent encouraging text to a few friends. Learned one friend’s son was having surgery today for seizures. Stopped and prayed
Holly volunteered to take me to get fluids at Drs office. I warned her that one of the meds makes me drowsy and fall asleep. She came prepared because she wasn’t sure if they’d let her come in with me.
Made sure the nurses knew I had to go to ER on Monday and that I had allergic reaction to one of the meds given in ER. They assured me they’d notate and get me to feeling better.
Almost did a nosedive when it was time to leave. Probably should’ve asked for a wheelchair chair but I didn’t. I had a cane and took it real slow to the car.
Crashed for hours when I got home. Made myself get up to eat dinner with the family. That was all the energy I could muster up. Sat in recliner for few hours until I had energy to go to bed
Thankful for
- Prayers of friends and family
- Ability to ask for help and fluids as needed
- God’s faithlessness and protection in times of trouble.
Slight headache. Nerves feel like they’re firing rapidly throughout body making it kind of annoying. Center of chest aches. Breathing labored slightly. Whole body aches as if I’ve been through a fight. Exhausted. Lethargic. Tongue white coated again and has sores. I’m convinced that my tongue is telling my gut health status. Taking probiotics twice daily. Able to take most of my vitamins today. Skipped the bp med.
Don’t have stamina to research anything tonight. Maybe tomorrow. Sweet dreams.
