Comfort That Flows
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Paul knew what it meant to suffer. He had faced trials, pain, and deep discouragement. Yet in all of it, he experienced the faithful comfort of God. He wrote to the Corinthians not just to encourage them, but to remind them that God’s comfort isn’t just for us—it’s meant to be shared.
When we walk through hardships, God meets us with mercy and grace. But He doesn’t just bring relief—He equips us to care for others. Our pain becomes purpose. Our story becomes someone else’s hope.
Sadly, in the busyness of life and ministry, it’s easy to overlook those who are hurting. But true ministry begins with compassion—slowing down, seeing people, and being present.
Challenge: This week, take time to reach out to someone who’s struggling. Offer a word, a prayer, or just a listening ear. Let the comfort God gave you become comfort for them.
Prayer: Father, thank You for comforting me in every trial. Help me slow down and see the needs around me. Make me a vessel of Your love. Amen.
