This cancer update covers August 29–31, 2022 and includes symptoms, doctor visits, and moments of encouragement.
August 29
Once I fell asleep I slept until 5:45am. Woke to both hands stinging and tingling. Eyes crusty on the corners. Still tired. Hurting all over.
Songs: ♫A World We’ve Never Touched, Be the One, & Middle of My Storm ♫
Galatians 3:28; 2 Timothy 2:21; Hebrews 13:5
Up to share scripture and pray with Dezirae before going to school. I’m exhausted and my chest is hurting. It’s from working on the bulletin y’day. Need to lay back down a bit. Put load in washer. Alarm set. Playing wholetones music while resting.
Ezekiel 9-12 . Zeolite Enhanced with DHQ (by GHA Naturals)
Decided to mow part of the lawn. Mowed as much as I could before hurting too much and wearing out. Out of breath. Headache and exhausted. Perspiration and hot. Need to hydrate and rest a while.
Ate lunch. Down for the count. Mom came to bring ice and check on me. Stayed to watch a movie with me.
4:30 fell asleep in the recliner. Woke about 5:30. Dezirae videoed Joe opening birthday present from Jakob and Bri. They’re going to have a little one. I’d be more excited but I’m in severe pain all over!
Joe taking Dezirae to piano lessons. I stayed home to work on dinner – salmon cakes, greens, and homemade rolls.
Muscles twitching randomly throughout legs. Stomach hurts with sharp stabbing pain. Needed to use restroom.
Making dinner was a chore especially since I’m hurting severely. I did it to myself mowing more of a section than originally anticipated. I just wish it wouldn’t hurt so much later.
God answered thought prayer. I made comment on a Facebook page y’day that we had old appliances that someone could come get. Someone sent me a message today inquiring about it. They will also take the old grill. They will come get them tomorrow after lunch. Thank you, Lord
I get to order the PEA supplement I muchly need for my headaches tomorrow. Joe told me he wants to get some of the items from my wishlist for my birthday, but he doesn’t know how to utilize Amazon.
Thankful for… 1. Joe liked dinner while I did not. 2. God answered a thought prayer, and we’ll be getting rid of the old appliances out if the yard tomorrow. 3. I get to order the PEA supplement tomorrow. I need it for the headaches. 4. I got to talk to my boys today even if only briefly. 5. Jordon got the job. 6. Joe and I are going to be grandparents. I cannot even fathom that idea.
August 30
6:00 whole body stiff and very sore. Tired. Chilly.
Ephesians 2:19; Ezekiel 13-15; James 1:17-18
Holly came over to help mow front lawn.
Burned papers, emptied kitchen trash, washed two loads of clothes.
10:40 went with parents to Costco. Able to get few items. Found Tom’s all-natural toothpaste. It was cheaper than Amazon.
Dad wanted a hot dog, but I declined. He asked who said I couldn’t eat them. I told him my doctor. Told Mom I’m not supposed to eat processed meat like lunch meats either. He pouted a little because it’s his ritual every time he goes, but he didn’t get one either. Need to do what I can in fighting the cancer.
Once back home, ate lunch. Then a couple came to pick up our old appliances. Yeah! Best part other than they’re gone is that it’s also helping the couple as they recycle them to make money to help subsidize their income. A win, win. Thank you, Lord.
Able to order the probiotics and PEA supplement I need. Should be here by Thursday.. Thank you, Lord.
Needed to rest for a while.
Dinner is chef salad. Bro Chuck came to check out the noise in my van. Fed him dinner. He enjoyed it. Van should be okay to drive short distances. Thinks it’s a belt but not 100% certain since he couldn’t get to the area. Praying God keeps it running until we can save money to have it fixed. He stayed to chat for a while. I sat in Joe’s recliner and ended up dozing off because I was wore out from making dinner.
Went to bed with Joe. Texted kids good night.
August 31
5:00 up to use restroom. Whole body stiff, stinging, and achy. Good thing I decided to rest today. Need to work on Scripture Journaling Calendar and my blog.
Song: ♫Blessings ♫ There was a hymn too but it left my mind. Hopefully I’ll remember it later.
I can tell I’ve been out of the PEA supplement because I’m forgetting more again. Ugh.
I remembered the other song. ♫Thou oh, Lord, art a shield for me (Psalm 3:1-3) ♫
Psalm 95:6-7; Ezekiel 16-17; 1 John 3:23-24;
Load of linens in wash. Canning 8 jars of white beans. Didn’t realize it was going to take so long.
