What Truly Matters
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8:36
This week’s tragedy with the murder of Charlie Kirk is a painful reminder of how fragile life is. No matter how much we achieve or gain, it can all be gone in a moment. Jesus reminds us that our soul is worth more than every success, possession, or comfort this world can offer. When John the Baptist was killed, Jesus grieved, but He didn’t let anger or despair consume Him—He pressed on with His mission. We are called to do the same: to keep our eyes on Christ, even through heartbreak.
⚡Challenge:
Ask yourself today—what am I holding onto that won’t last? Am I letting grief, anger, or worldly pursuits distract me from Christ? Give those things to Him and choose to walk faithfully, no matter the cost.

Lord, help us grieve with hope, guard our hearts from anger, and keep us faithful to Your calling. Amen.
