Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4;12
I remember as a young person often feeling hesitant and unqualified to teach or to guide someone to the Lord. At times, it seemed like older believers didn’t value what I had to say. But Paul reminded Timothy—and us—that living faithfully is the greatest example we can give of following Jesus wholeheartedly.
Paul reminded Timothy that age or status doesn’t limit our influence. Instead of worrying about who listens or notices, he called Timothy to let his life speak through six areas: words, actions, love, spirit, faith, and purity.
Our daily choices matter. Even when we feel unnoticed or unqualified, others are watching—and God can use our consistency to leave an eternal imprint. We are not called to impress but to impact, reflecting what Christ has done in us so others can see what He can do for them.
As we reflect on our lives, let’s ask God to show us where we need to grow—whether in word, action, love, spirit, faith, or purity. May we live as examples of His mercy and grace so that our lives shine for Him and point others to Christ.
Praying for you as you serve the Lord in your family and ministries today. May His joy overflow in you and pour out into the lives you touch. May you have a Superb Sonday on purpose!
