Enter with Thanksgiving

Psalms 100:4 ~ Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psalm 100 is a joyful invitation to come before God with a heart full of gratitude and praise. The psalmist pictures God’s people entering the temple courts, not out of duty, but with delight—celebrating His goodness and faithfulness.

To “enter His gates with thanksgiving” means to approach God with an awareness of His blessings. The gates represent access—our way into His presence. Gratitude opens those gates in our hearts, shifting our focus from what we lack to what God has graciously provided.

Then, as we move “into His courts with praise,” our gratitude turns to worship. Praise is more than words—it’s the overflow of a thankful heart that recognizes the greatness of God. Scripture reminds us that He inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). When we praise, we create a space for His presence to dwell.

Let’s make thanksgiving and praise not just an act, but a lifestyle. Today, pause and thank God for His goodness, then lift your voice in praise—because He is worthy!
