Jesus – Lamb

Jesus – Lamb

Revelation 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

The Lamb is being praised by a host of angels and beings.  In Isaiah 53, Christ was brought as a lamb to the slaughter and endured suffering for us, which attributes to His worthiness for praise and honor.  The Lion, who has the power to defeat all His foes, chose to become the Lamb who would purchase our debt on the cross and defeat death by rising victoriously from the grave three days later.

Worthy is the Lamb to receive all glory and praise.  His amazing grace has been extended to us.

Looking forward to the day we will be able to join this glorious chorus of praise for all eternity.

Praise Ye the Lord

Psalms 149:1
Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

Psalms 150:6
Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

In every circumstance, we should praise the Lord. There is always something for which to be grateful.

How should He be praised?
With our hearts, mouths, and every instrument (Psalm 95:1; Ephesians 5:19; Psalm 71:23; Psalm 33:2).

When should He be praised?
Continually (Psalm 34:1). We should praise the Lord in all circumstances not just on Sunday morning.

Where should He be praise? Everywhere (Psalm 150)

Why should He be praised? For His excellent greatness and mighty power (Deut. 3:24)

Who should praise Him?
Everyone that breathes (Psalms 100:1; 150:6).

Praising the Lord helps us to re-center our thoughts and minds onto God. It helps us to set aside the worries and cares of this life. It helps remind us of what God has done for us. It helps to strengthen our faith.

What are you praising God for today?

I’m tired of journaling my symptoms but I know if I don’t I won’t remember when things happen plus it helps me track my progress

6:30a  – woke in much pain…I hurt all over.  My hands feel like their on fire.  They are throbbing so.  Random shooting pain in my legs.  Headache.  Low back aches.  Arms ache.  Neck sore on rt side.  Rt ear randomly  ringing.

9:36a-I do not want to get up today, but I have lots to do…prepare food to put in crockpots for lunch at church after soul winning, etc.  Lord, I need Your help to move today.  Thinking about fudging on my caffeine free diet just to have energy to go.  Took my meds this am, but I still have no energy.

9:47a – Thought prayer answered today.  I prayed for one pumpkin.  God had two pumpkins given to us.  PTL!!!

11:30 – didn’t put water in crockpots – food not cooking.  Have to cook items on stove.  Cramp in rt side of neck trying to turn gas off on stove.

Gratitude

Biblical Character Trait –
Gratitude: the state of being grateful: thankfulness

We are admonished in His Word to have an attitude of being grateful in all circumstances and for all things (Ephesians 5:20; 1 Thessalonians 5:18). Gratitude is expressing thankfulness to God and others in ways they have benefited our lives.

Choose to practice gratitude daily. It will not only produce contentment but also will strengthen our trust in God.

Colossians 3:15-17
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Additional Scriptures: Psalm 100:4-5; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; Psalm 9:1-2; 1 Corinthians 15:57; Jonah 2:9; Luke 17:11-19; Colossians 2:6-7; Hebrews 13:5

Prayer of Gratitude:
Lord, Thank you for Your marvelous power and working in our lives. Help my family and I to exemplify gratitude in all we say and do. Thank you for the abundant hope that You give regardless of our circumstances (Romans 15:13). Thank you for Your love and care and for supplying our need (Philippians 4:19).
Please forgive me of the times I come to You with an ungrateful heart full of winning and complaining. Help me to look for the ways that You are working in and through our lives.
I choose to praise You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
