I hope it brings you blessings! I hope you have a fantastic week!
Happy Accidents – Amy Sapp
Have you ever had a Happy Accident? Have YOU ever been in the right place at the right time?
If you are saved …..
Do you remember…
The Time? The Date? The Place?
Who led you to the Lord?
The majority of us have a “WHO”… Somehow someone was involved in being used as a tool to lead you to the Lord!
Maybe it was a Pastor giving the gospel during a service? Sunday School Teacher? Altar worker? Bus worker? Parent? Sibling? Friend? Co Worker? Door to door soulwinner? A gospel tract that someone left for you? Maybe someone gave you a Bible?
Here are a few of my “Happy Accidents”
Do you know how much fun you can have going soul-winning? So many “remember whens” are created during those times!
– One time I was with a couple of ladies and we got STUCK in the snow of a bus kids home. We decided to try to push the car out ourselves. One of the ladies slid and fell. After we made sure she was OK.. It was so funny. To this day we talk about that moment. We ended up knocking doors on that street and finding someone to help us.
– One time I had a lady at an apartment that got saved and her “hidden” roommate got saved as well! I had no clue until she came running out of back room shouting.. I GOT SAVED TOO! I GOT SAVED TOO!
(Soulwinning is ONE beggar telling another beggar WHERE to find bread)
– One time I was washing my hands at a sink in a public restroom and I was singing. The lady couldn’t understand why I was so happy while at a cancer doctor’s office. I was able to give her the Gospel and she got saved right then. Then I proceeded to go to my appointment and when I walked in that same lady was the receptionist behind the desk at my doctor’s office.
(Every person I meet is someone MY best friend loved enough to die for) Go Ahead…. Read that again.
The Bible tells us to GO… Matthew 28:19
If your church has a time for organized soulwinning, I highly recommend that you GO! If you do, it will become a routine!
– Use a fun friendly knock. Stangers ring the doorbell, friends knock.
– If you are using a doorhanger, hang it before knocking, to get it into their hands without being rejected! If they turn you away it is already on their door.
Mark your Bibles…
Romans Road – I highlight the verses it makes it easier for me to find and for them to see. I also have the reference to the very next verse marked after the current verse, so I am not fumbling around. At my age. I don’t want to admit it, but sometimes I forget where to go next.
Here are the common verses that I use..
Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, (at this point if they do not realize that they are a sinner I go to Rev 21:8)
Romans 5:8, Romans 5:12, Romans 6:23, Romans 9:9-13
Here are some… Fun Places to put tracts!
Soda Cases, Diaper Boxes, Gas Station Pumps, Libraries, Envelopes, Bank Tubes
Hand out tracts at store registers!
Tract Attack. For a good while we didn’t have organized soulwinning at our church. So we would go to various parks and have our kids pass out 3 gospel tracts each, then they could play for 10 minutes, then move on to the next park. My kids sometimes still talk about this.
Teach your children to have fun! It is OK to have fun and serve Jesus at the same time! It is our job as parents to make sure our kids are trained. Not the job of the church. The church is an awesome place for them to learn. But it is our responsibility to teach and train them.
Tracts…
Number one… The Gospel is clearly on the tract. They may get saved right then, or read it years from now.
Number two.. It is a business card for your church. YOU never know when someone that got a tract years prior may just show up to your church or recommend it to someone else.
Do you know who the people are that don’t pass out Gospel Tracts?
– People that don’t carry Gospel Tracts!!!
We are to share with ALL people! Psalm 96:3
Think on this….
What if the person that was instrumental in YOU getting saved, did not do what God’s Will was for them that day? And they didn’t allow the Lord to use them??
Bus Route Rut…
Do you visit your bus route and never go door to door soulwinning? I have been there. You witness to the siblings. You witness to the parents. You witness to the neighbors. Visiting the bus route is AWESOME. But it doesn’t replace door to door soulwinning.
The Bible says that if we win souls, we are wise! Proverbs 11:30
Be Kind… There is NO kinder action than sharing the Gospel with someone!
People NEED the Lord…
We NEED to go and tell…
