7th year Lightning Strike Anniversary โšก

I wanted to share some blessings in hopes of it being an encouragement in your journey to keep moving forward no matter how difficult the journey.

First, I was able to attend a TBI Bright Ideas Camp hosted at the local USA college campus about a month ago. It was hard work, but very informative and helpful. The AHIF may be able to help me obtain some of the recommendations to better help me at home. I learned that my hearing is still exceptional. While in a soundproof room with headphones on for a hearing test, I could hear people giggling in the hallway. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I was told I was hearing some sounds at zero decibel). I’ve gained more friends and was able to bring awareness of my lightning strike and cancer story to hundreds of people.ย

Second, I’ve been working hard on trying to obtain my Master of Theology degree. I was able to finish my last class yesterday and just have my dissertation assignment to complete, and I will be done! ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŽ“

Third, I submitted my lightning strike testimony of how I acquired my brain injury to BIAA (Brain Injury Awareness Association) a while back and forgot about it. I recently received an email from them asking me to be part of their video campaign to help bring awareness regarding the chronic nature of brain injury and it’s lasting effects.

Fourth, it just dawned on me that today is Jordon’s and my 7th anniversary of surviving the lightning strike โšก

Through it all, God has been so good.๐Ÿ™Œ I would have never believed how much God would expand my horizons trying to help others. It’s been a difficult journey, but such a rewarding one as well.

Always remember that “Life is hard. Kindness, courage, and love will help you prosper.”
