12:15a Driving thru Atlanta now. I remembered that there’s an underground city here that Joe and I visited once. Something about walking it. Coca cola stuff. A large bell? I think I have pictures somewhere. I mentioned it to Mom. She says that she’s always wanted to go.

Sharp stabbing pain on rt side chest Random hiccup. Try to adjust. Body getting tired of sitting in car.

1:00a near Gainesville, GA 1-985 I smell fresh bread

123 now I smell manure

200 we arrived at our destination for the night finally

215 deep breathing to help calm the fluttering in bottom of heart. Drank cherry coke during my driving time to give me extra energy. Nerves jittery. Exhausted but awake. Stomach feels weird.

Whole body stinging needle pain. The longer I lay still the more it hurts.

Thankful for

1. Good friends that allow you to crash at their place in a moments notice

2. Able to talk with my oldest son today. God kept him safe in his travels to his fiance’s parents house.

3. Able to drive for about two hours on highway at night to help my mom.

4. God kept us safe in our travels so far

8:00 tossed and turned most of night. I’m in great pain.šŸ˜¢

Titus – Philemon; Luke 1:68-70;

100 heading to see my Grandma in hospital now. Nerves are amuck from the traveling. Feeling a bit nauceous. Thankfully mom had ginger chew I could have which is helping. It’s raining alot here. Nerves are stinging and on fire through whole body. I just want to crash but know I can’t right now. Wanted to fix my hair but that didn’t happen either. Have no clue what’s going to happen. Trying to be strong for my Aunt and Mom. My Aunt doesn’t seem to be taking things too good and seems utterly exhausted. It’s to be expected in this situation. I pray for her.

Grandma recognized us. She was just staring at the ceiling when we came into room. When my Mom went by her side, her eyes teared up. When I and the girls took turns holding her hand, she stared at us. She wore out quickly and fell asleep.

Nurse said that was to be expected. She’s actually in Hospice ward at the hospital. This is better because all of us can visit with her at same time and can come and go as we need with no restrictions on visiting hours. Nurse said she could pass in few days or last up to two weeks. My Uncle & Aunt from KY are coming now too. Glad I got to see her. Praying she lasts for my Uncle to come and then she passes quickly so she’s not suffering anymore.

600 took pain rx and my morning meds.

900 Pain Rx has eased some of the nerve burning sting pain. Tired and wore out.

Exhausted. Hot. Nerves stinging but has eased from this morning so it’s more tolerable – about a 5. Low back and rt hip throbbing. Sharp pain in chest sporadically. Raining off and on all day not helping. Left ear ringing.

730 rough night. Trouble getting comfortable. Hot.

Whole body stiff and stinging needles. Arms numb and tingling. Hands swollen and throbbing. Hot and uncomfortable. Feel as if broke a sweat. Tired. Thirsty.

Hebrews 1-6; Luke 1:76-78; John 8:12

Attended church with friends this morning. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to sing to my heart’s content unto the Lord. It was also touching to see the granddaughters scurry to my Mom’s side when she broken down crying. The words in the songs were so real to my Mom dawning on her that my Grandma would pass to glory soon. They invited us to their house for lunch. I enjoyed the fellowship and hospitality.

Dinner at my Aunt’s and Uncles house. After dinner the siblings and spouses present, worked together to discuss funeral arrangements and obituary. It was encouraging to hear them reminiscing about Grandma and laughing at some of their funny stories from their past involving Grandma.

Never knew that my Grandma miscarried a set of twins prior to my Mom and her brother being born.

Texting Joe. He asked how I was doing. Told him that I’m really hurting…can’t seem to get comfortable. He replied that he wish he could do something for me. I replied that he could pray and his loving support is all I ask. God will take care of the rest. To which he responded okay you got it I’ll always be by your side and in your corner. Such a loving husband. Thank you, Lord.

Rt foot keeps cramping so bad my foot curls up. I have to stand on it to get it to stop but that even hurts horribly.

Random hiccups.

Happy Monday! I can hardly believe it’s Thanksgiving week!!

I apologize for the lateness of this post. I accidentally popped my left arm out of place over the weekend and was in excruciating pain. I got sidetracked trying to get an appointment with my chiropractor.

Thankfully, my chiropractor was willing to fit me in this morning to get this taken care of. I am now ordered to take it easy over the next several days to allow my shoulder time to heal. Then I will start exercises as I am able to strengthen the muscles and ligaments to prevent any more dislocations or subluxations in the future. I am looking forward to spending time with family.

This weekā€™s devo is ā€œHow Well Do You Know Ed?ā€ written by Jan Neill!

Please take the time to read as she wants to encourage US today! I hope that you have an absolutely amazing week!!!

How Well Do You Know Ed? – Jan Neill

In Joshua we find that the 2 Ā½ tribes of Israel had completed the task of fighting with the other tribes to subdue the land- and were returning to ā€˜theirā€™ side of Jordon. Not the Promised Land God had provided but their choice (whole new discussion on this one- later) but where they asked to stay.

Upon crossing over they stopped to build an alter for reflection, and remembrance. Joshua 22:34 And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad called the altar Ed: for it shall be a witness between us that the LORD is God.

I donā€™t know about you, but I often can be caught in the ā€œGod answers prayer for the deserving, staff, preachers, pastors wives, ā€¦ and on it goes, but He isnā€™t as interested in my, my life, my needs as those IMPORTANT People, the Bible College crowd,.etc. (insert lie of the Devil that is whispered in your ear.)

We all need more EDā€¦ we need to make memorials, alters and remembrances of WHEN GOD did more than meet our needs, wants , and how He made ways we cannot see. In this world we are so bombarded with all the reasons that God, cant- wonā€™t ā€“ or could use as reasons to NOT hear and care for His children. Our children, and grandchildren will live in a world that will continue to challenge who God is and that He is sovereign, mighty, holy, lovingā€¦ all the attributes we KNOW about God, but can easily forget when the blows and challenges of the world constantly beat us up.

Who / what are the Edā€™s in your life that when hard times come, and it seems the answers you pray for are delayed, that you can look to and remember .. several years ago after having been diagnosed with stage 2 type 2 melanoma, I can still tell you to this day the spot on the freeway where I surrendered my will to God for my health, and successful treatment and surgery, I can tell of begging God to save my then lost husband and provide me a Godly mate and a Christian home, and on and on the list goes.

We have a new member of the family this year and as Iā€™m thinking of pulling out old pictures to share with her to show her the family, our history, who these people were that are so important to our history and who made a difference, as we move toward Thanksgiving and thinking about being thankful, grateful and blessedā€¦. Perhaps itā€™s a great time to reflect on Ed, and maybe even share with our families the alters that God has made for and with usā€¦ ”That in times to come these shall not be forgotten.ā€
