Jesus – Truth
Jesus – Truth
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus is the Way to the Father – no man cometh unto the Father but by me. Jesus is the Truth – the absolute and eternal Truth. Jesus is the Life – He is the bearer and giver of everlasting life.
Truth and liberty always go together. When the truth is denied, liberty is quickly lost. Jesus said in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Truth is necessary for liberty, and true liberty is founded on truth.
Jesus said He was the Truth. He declared that He is the only way to God as well as the Final Word on the matter.
Many people are making wrecks of their lives because they ignore the simple truths of God’s Word. They think liberty gives them the right to lives as they please rather than live according to the principles of truth.
Others are making spiritual wrecks of their lives by their casual attitude towards worship, Christian service, and personal godliness. They chose to ignore the truth believing they can be saved by ways other than simple faith in Jesus Christ.
Knowing and abiding by the eternal Truth of God’s Word brings true liberty.
Jesus – Light of the World
Jesus – Light of the World
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
This is one of the seven “I AM” statements. He is not just any light, but the One who created light in Genesis and the source of all light. Christ is the Light of the world.
Jesus has the ability to shine the light of truth into the hearts of all who believe in Him. Those who believe in Him live in the light and do not dwell in the dark.
Jesus – Faithful Witness
Jesus – Faithful Witness
Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
When a witness is summoned to testify, he must give the truth about what he knows. He can’t be caught lying since that would undermine his testimony.
Jesus is our faithful and true witness (Revelation 19:11). His testimony has been scrutinized more than any other in history, and no inconsistencies have ever been discovered. He always tells the truth.
Honesty
Honesty – free from fraud or deception. Behavior, in action and words, that aims to convey truth.
It is important to live a life characterized by honesty. When your life and words constantly demonstrate honesty and integrity, others will learn that they can depend upon you.
Honesty is not only a reflection of our inner character, but also a way to show our faith. It is not just how you speak to others but also to yourself. As we desire to draw nigh to Christ, we should want to follow Christ’s example in being honest in all things.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

Lord, Thank you for allowing your Spirit to guide us into all truth (John 16:13). Thank you for being The Way, The Truth, and The Life (John 14:6).
Please help my family and I to be careful to speak the truth. Help us to live lives of integrity and honesty that we may bring honor and glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
