God Preserves Everything!

Nehemiah 9:6 – Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

Upon his arrival in Jerusalem, Nehemiah discovered more than just damaged walls—he encountered broken people (Nehemiah 8:1-13:31).

As a result, Nehemiah gathers the people to hear Ezra read God’s Law. Hearing the Word caused them to repent and promised to adhere to God’s Law.

No matter where we live there’s a risk of backsliding. God’s Word is our roadmap to keep our lives on track.

True worship requires honest confession to establish a right relationship with God.

Once confession was made, Ezra encouraged the people to praise the Lord. He also gave reasons to praise Him – the heavens, host of heavens and all therein, the earth and all things therein, the seas and everything in them – He preserves them all!, and the angels worship Him.

When we take time to look around and see all that God has made, it can only cause us to praise Him for His goodness, mercy, and love.
