April 14
1:44a Joe scared me out of sleep to ask what light was blinking. Needed to use restroom but not wide awake. Nerves are screaming thru body and sting immensely. Lft arm was completely numb and feels like someone was trying to tear it out of it’s socket. Sinuses congested. Tummy aches and feels bloated. Sugar is not my friend. Mouth severely dry and feels cottony.
200a severe sharp stabbing pain in center of chest keeping me awake. Unable to get comfortable.
Bible Reading: 1 Kings 6-7
Juicing: 1 Carrot, 1.5 Apples, 2 small Oranges
130 gave myself a goose egg on forehead. Peripheral vision was off. Leaned over to pick something up and hit my head on corner of the dresser. Wasn’t thinking straight either bc I walked past a mirror to ask Rae if my head was bleeding. Ouch!
230p shopping at walmart for veggies for dinner. Put my hand down on buggy not realizing that some of the metal paint was chipping off and got 1/4″ piece stuck up under my skin. Ouch!!! My palm is stinging. I let worker know. He in turn got manager. Manager inspected hand and buggy. Told manager what happened. Told how m I needed help getting it out and also didn’t want someone else getting hurt. He chipped off the chipping paint then had a worker go get clippers and twezzers. By this time my whole plan is stinging. We eventually got it out.
330 got home and Rae realized her keys were missing. Retraced steps. Not find them anywhere.
535p I’m exhausted.
April 15
500a severe thunderstorm rolling through. In severe pain all over.
838a still thunder storming, pain still severe all over. Have no energy or desire to move at the moment.

Morning meds & pain rx taken
Juicing: 3 handfuls of spinach, 1 apple, 1/4 lemon. Ate 2 scrambled eggs with himalayan salt + black pepper and 3 pcs of bacon.
Spent morning working on journaling and blog
Pain still great. Raining stopped about noon though still gloomy looking outside.
Snack: strawberries with stevia
130 went back to WM to see if anyone turned in keys. Nope
200 feeling kind of woozy and nauseous. Maybe from PEA or taking whole pain rx. Not feeling good.
430 Joe telling me about his day. Got soaked bc his rain jacket was stolen. Work supposed to be ordering more but haven’t gotten them in. Told him to keep pestering bc the squeeky wheel gets the worm. He chuckled and asked me to repeat. I gladly repeated. Chuckling he says no it’s suppose to be the squeeky wheel gets the attention. The early bird gets the worm. Lol.
530 dinner was a hit – swedish meatballs with egg noodles and mixed vegetables.
Lft Knee is killing me! Pain still very high but is easing. Won’t take another pain rx until bed time. Don’t want to have to fight through the side effects.
On positive note, usually anytime there’s a thunderstorm in our area I get bad migraines. This morning I started taking the PEA supplement with breakfast. Woke with bad headache, but it never turned into a migraine. Big plus in my mind’s eye. Migraines can be so disabling.
1038p exhausted and very tired. Bad headache. Still in much pain all over body but it’s slowly easing. Hands swollen and throbbing. Neck hurts. Low back & rt hip throbbing. Lower lft leg tourniquet tightening feeling with tingling to foot. Tailbone aches. Feet chilly.
LS Memoirs – 13-14 March 2021
March 13
545 woke with “God of the mountain” song on my mind. Feet & toes stinging burning. Sinuses congested. Headache – head feels like top is in vice grip and sharp stabbing pain at 4 o’clock. Whole body stiff and achy. A bit dizzy upon sitting up. Had to sit upright momentarily till spinningveased to use restroom. Joe rubbing my back feels wonderful. Lights bothersome.
Bible Reading: Joshua 9-11, Ephesians 6:10-19, Psalm 37:3-5, Joshua 1:9, 2 Timothy 2:15, Matthew 18:10
Breakfast: bowl of cereal
Used whole milk and within 30 minutes my sinuses congested severely. Had to take Tylenol sinus
Goals: prep for church tomorrow, bulletins, make muffins for SS, hospital visit
Making muffins wore me out. Single batch made two less of four dozen. Feel crash oncoming. Need to rest a while.
Symptoms: headache, muscle cramping/ spasming on rt side, whole body stiff and achy, stinging needle burning pain in feet & back, low back throbbing, sharp stabbing pain in my head at my 7 o’clock – only lasted a minute or so, blurry vision, brain fog, exhausted, sinuses congested, legs burning, rt hip throbbing, rt ear hurts.
Meds taken. Took 1/2 Benadryl & naproxen
Psalm 127:1-5 – Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
Thankful: I am thankful for the children that God allowed me to be a mother to especially when doctor’s told me that I couldn’t have children. I claimed Psalm 37:3-5 trusting God would give me the desires of my heart. And He Did!
Striving to raise your children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4) is a difficult task. It is also a very rewarding one.
*Teach your children to love the Lord with all their being and to respect His house and His Holy Word (Deut 6:4-9, Proverbs 22:6).
*Help them hide God’s Word in their hearts (Psalm 119:11, Joshua 1:9).
*Show them how to study and apply His precepts to every day life (2 Timothy 2:15, Psalm 19:7-10).
*Pray for God to surround them with angels to protect them from harm (Psalm 91:11, Matthew 18:10).
*Encourage them to climb every obstacle and become courageous followers of truth (Joshua 1:9, Ephesians 6:10-20).
*Motivate them to live lives of purity, kindness, and compassion that they may shine as bright lights in the world (Matthew 5:13-16, Philippians 4:8, 1 Timothy 4:12).
March 14
Woke momentarily not know where I was or what day it was. Kind of scared out of sleep but I don’t know what startled me.
I heard Joe say my name but he’s asleep. Woke with thoughts of needing to read scripture to LM when I visit her next but I’m not sure which to read. Prayed for her and all those God brought to mind.
Sinuses congested, tired, whole body stiff, achy, and throbbing. Headache. Skin hypersensitive – hair on face feels like razor blades.
Bible Reading: Joshua 12-15, Psalm 23
Feel so exhausted and lethargic today having hard time pushing myself.
Laid down after lunch to take nap. Crashed quickly. Alarm set for 2:30. Slept til 3.50. Had trouble mustering strength to get up.
Symptoms: whole body stiff and achy upon waking, sinuse congested, headache, brain fog, blurry vision, hands swollen & throbbing, stinging nerve pain through body, inner ears itch, lethargic, exhausted, stomach hurts, rt hip aches, Feeling of stabbing knife pain under rt arm but nothing is there, got cold suddenly…feet now freezing. Low back throbbing.
HK got excited when she saw in the Kids Corner of the bulletin the activity was about God’s Adopted Children. She exclaimed I’m adopted! My daughter quickly interjected, ” You’re adopted in God’s family too.”
I added “You’re adopted 2xs so you are chosen and loved” HK with grin from ear to ear emphatically shook her head yes.
Gave lady in church a birthday gift and placed it in her seat so she would see it when came in. She immediately came and found me to thank me. She made comment that I had given her a coloring book few years ago and she’s almost finished it. I totally forgot I had.
LS Memoirs – 7-9 March 2021
March 7
Woke at 2:20am with severe stomach cramping and diahrea.
Exhausted. Burning aching pain all over body. Tummy hurts and feels little bloated.. Arms ache. Rt hand and wrist swollen and feel sprained. Sinuses slightly congested. Feet tingle and burn. Legs throbbing.
♫I will cling to the Old Rugged Cross and exchange it some day for a crown.♫
Bible Reading: Psalm 139:23-24, Deut 24-27, Psalm 77:6-15
Breakfast: 3 oatmeal energy balls, Apple juice
Got dizzy getting ready for church. Had to sit a bit. Out of breath.
By end of music service my head is pounding, hands throbbing, legs burning throbbing, feet chilly, brain fogging, rt hip throbbing
Not feeling well. Joe sweet to order pizza for dinner bc I’m not up to cooking.
Symptoms: feet freezing, lft leg tingling, headache, low back throbbing, very sleepy, Charlie horse cramping in abdomen – ouch!!!
Lower lft leg tourniquet tightening feeling with tingling. Legs pounding throbbing. Upper back and hands stinging. Brain foggy and blurry. Distracted easily. Body having trouble regulating temperature – cold then warm then freezing all the while skin cool to the touch.
March 8
500 decent nights sleep. Weird dreams.
Arms & hands go numb while reading Bible. Severe stomach cramping, rt ear hurt, sinuses congested, post nasal drip tastes aweful.
Bible reading: Deut 28-29, Ps 50:6, 2 Cor 1:3-4, Philippians 4:12-13
Goals today: wash linens, straighten & declutter pantry, help Jordon file taxes, plan meals for week.
Symptoms: dizzy at times – must stop and focus on specific thing until it eased or close eyes momentarily, stabbing, low back pain – must lay on belly until it eased before can do something else, took rx for pain, hands throbbing, brain blurry, headache, slight stuffy nose, severe abdominal cramping pain periodically, rt ear hurts, back itches
March 9
445 woke to muscle spasms and being hot. Didn’t take pm meds. Exhausted and irritable. Nerves twitching thru body and skin itchy all over.
Bible reading: Deut 30-31, Ps 40:11-12, 2 Timothy 1:9-12, Acts 16:12-16, 40
Goals today: plant tomato seeds, hang mini blind, take care of sick son, Ladies Bible Study tonight.
Planted tomato and pepper seeds, mini blind too short, difficulty getting Jordon Dr apt but God directed steps to new Dr who saw him today. Confirmed sinus infection and ear infection. Antibiotic called into pharmacy quickly. Bible study went well. Ladies excited about Secret Sister Ministry.
Symptoms: muscle spasms, temperature fluctuating, nerves twitching, headache, sinuses congested, exhausted, low back throbbing, brain foggy, vision blurry, dizzy, lower lft leg tourniquet tightening feeling with numbness and tingling to toes, feet freezing and icy cold, rt ear aches, skin itchy, whole body aches, nerves feel like their crawling, shoulders ache.
Drank sleepy time tea.
Three things I’m thankful for…
- Able to get Jordon seen at Dr’s and diagnosis confirmed
- God’s protection on highway
- My Mom understands what I’m going thru and experience with the TBI part of my injuries.
Lightning Strikes Memoirs 2021 February 5-6
Feb 5
800 pictures in brain are going wonky…they’re going counterclockwise and not in sync. It’s making me dizzy keeping eyes closed. Exhausted. Headache no longer migraine. Slight chilling sensation in rt side of head. Lights still bothersome.
It must be raining nearby…I hurt all over. Feel like I’ve been beaten up and it hurts to move.
500 brain fried…been working on preparing for Sunday’s Chili Cook Off. Head pounding. Brain fogging & vision crossing.
830 Feet freezing. Back of head chilling sensation. Lower legs throbbing.
1030 chilling sensation in back of head has slowly moved down spine to tail bone. Whole spine has chilling sensation now. It feels really weird. Muscles randomly spasming/ twitching in body.
Feb 6
800 rough night. Exhausted. Thirsty. I hurt from head to toe. Feet feel like I’m standing on broken glass. Nose stuffy. Headache.
Lots to do today. I pray God gives me the strength and wisdom to get what I need done.
900 drank strawberry breakfast smoothie. Made me have allergy reaction. Had to take Tylenol Sinus.
300p tired and hurting. Dezirae & I finished getting mission house ready for evangelist and his wife. Updated shower curtain and added rug in bathroom.
We also gave the church sign a facelift by weeding flower bed, planting Gerber daisies, and laying mulch. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to plant marigolds or not so we left them off for now.
I’m sore and will probably hurt more later but praise the Lord I was able to get it done.
Dezirae changed mulch out for dirt and planted marigolds in pots by front church doors while I trimmed the rose bushes.
Few more things to finish in morning but that’s okay. We got a lot done. Thank you, Lord!
545 migraine
How can one person cope with migraines better than another? Is it a good support system or quality health care? Or something else?
1159 finally getting to bed. Took me a while to finish bulletin. Had to make several changes to the song service to go more with revival. It takes me a couple hours when changes need to be made. Plus the way I have to print them now takes long time. Need to figure something out that more time friendly.
I’m in lots of pain. Hands and wrists slightly swollen and throbbing. Low back throbbing. I’d back itches. Legs throbbing. Feet cold, sting, throbbing. Skin itchy and hypersensitive. Sides cramping.

Nov 7
630 woke in extreme pain all over. Hands and arms sharp tingling pain. Back has sharp knife stabbing pains all over. Low back throbbing. Legs throbbing. Feet sting. When I stand feels like standing on broken glass. I just want to cry out in pain, but I know that won’t ease it. Headache.
Woke from nightmare.
740 sneezing causes stinging needle pain thru body
1020 feel like I’m about to pass out.
1030 told Joe how I was feeling. Told me to go lay down and he would pick up lunch.
630 my back is screaming pain. My tummy sorely hurts in muscle region. I’m getting grumpy. Going to lay down a piece.
1049 body screaming pain has eased slightly but still bothersome.
Headache. Eyes watery. Face itchy. Shoulders ache. Arms & hands stinging burning pain. Lower back throbbing. Thirsty. Ears itch inside. Legs ache. Feet tingle. Very tired but awake.
Had much trouble with verbage today. About half my conversations or more I had to repeat or reword what I was trying to say. Frustrating.
Nov 8
630 woke to arms & hands stinging & tingling. whole body aches. Hurts to move. Joe rubbed my back for a bit and massaged my feet. Massage on feet hurt but it helped to not hurt as much standing. Lost balance and started to fall. Joe caught me.
800am had to get Dezirae to help finish curling my hair. My arms fatigued out and started cramping.
1000 feeling bit dizzy.
1120 lower back chilling stinging burning pain – started at sides and moved to center of back.
1205 lft eye burning.
140 pulsating puffing windy feeling in left ear for 30 seconds. Felt weird. Craving stuffing.
330 had to run to store for few church items needed. Decided to take few goodie bags to give out. Everyone we gave them too said thank you.
620p lower back chilling stinging burning pain – started at sides and moved to center of back again. Very weird.
1000 skin hypersensitive. Hair keeps falling out of sloppy bun. It feels like sharp tacks scratching my skin. Hurts. Exhausted. Need sleep.
Nov 9
500 woke from strange dream to all my extremities in burning stinging pain.
630 washed load of clothes. Headache. Need to rest.
650 calves throbbing burning. Stinging needle pain in back
425 had to lay flat for couple hours bc entire back was stinging chilling burning pain and whole body throbbing. Couldn’t sleep but laying flat and resting helped.
430 realized that the info I had about new dentist & the text message to confirm was conflicting informatiom. Tried for 30 minutes calling dentist office to get info straight but couldn’t get an answer. Left msg. About to have panic attack bc I didn’t know where to take them in am.
500 Joe home. Explained situation. He helped me talk it out to calm me down. He recognized that voice mail had after hours number I could text. Took little bit but they replied with correct address which helped ease me.
It took me several months to get this appointment. I didn’t want to mess it up.
1030 stinging pain is back fiercely in back and in legs , hands, & feet. Exhausted. Face itches. Headache.
Took night meds & pain rx.
Tasks completed today: washed three loads clothes (two I had to hand wring bc washer only spins them out tempramentally. It causes much main though). Ran some errands for LM. Ordered checks. Balanced checkbook. Picked out activity for Ladies Mtg. Printed invitations for next month’s mtg.

Nov 1
630 I’m exhausted and hurting – stiff achy muscles. Lyrica makes me thirsty -feel like I can’t get enough water. Arms & hands ache. Back chilling stinging. Legs & feet ache. Feet tingling and stinging little. Headache. Woke from nightmare.
Feeling a bit off and little dizzy. Not taking am dose.
Joe asked me to cut his hair. Thankful Jordon bought me new lighter cord free Clippers. Messed up and had to fix it to look like flat top instead of buzz cut. Ugh!
Headache. Little dizzy.
1100 extreme trouble concentrating playing piano. Rt hip throbbing. Back hurts.
1130 getting extremely sleepy.
130 delivered food to a member that’s sick – not covid. He was very appreciative.
200 Needed sugar & tea bag for church. Stopped at store. Joe gabbing so I lifted sugar and has of pickles from lower shelves now I’m paying for it.
About had panic attack because I couldn’t find my glasses. I thought they were on my head. I feel stupid know bc they were on my face the whole time. Lol.
On way home, Joe and I got into discussion about a house color on way home. I thought the lighter color was green at one time but now it looks cream/beige color. Joe insists it’s still green. Asks if I need my eyes checked. Told him, “Probably, but oh well.” My eye problems aren’t from my eyes but others issues I’m dealing with. A regular eye Dr is not going to help and I can’t afford the specialist.
I’m exhausted and hurting all over. Ugh!

500a woke from bad dream. Headache. Chilled. Whole body aches. Upon standing feet felt as if standing on chards of glass making it difficult to walk to bathroom.
630 decided to wash load clothes and burn papers. Wore out. Out of breath. Need to rest.
700 forearms, cheeks, top of hands, parts of back feel hot to me but rest of body chilly. Neck hurts. Ears ringing.
Managed to get two loads washed & hung. Burned papers, and straighten living room before tuckering plum out.
800a LM called explaining she was in dilemma and asked if I’d take her to her Dr apts today. Told her I would.
230p She treated kids and I to lunch at Cracker Barrel. We thanked her. Took most of day taking her to her appts. I’m flat wore out.
Did manage to write devotional for my blog while waiting during her appts. That’s a plus. Have to wait until I get my laptop back in order to finish though.
500p I’m past tuckered and hurting all over. Joe graciously made his own dinner while I sat and explained what happened though not in order.
730p yawned and muscles in lft neck started cramping. Ouch!
900 slight bloody nose most of day. I’m exhausted. Stomach hurts horribly as if going to explode. Whole body aches. Congested. Back stinging. Ankles & feet tingly. Hands swollen & achy. Low back throbbing. Legs ache. Lower lft leg tour tightening feeling with some numbness & tingling. Neck hurts. Skin sensitive.
Think I forgot to take my am meds. Oh bother.
950 front of both legs and feet are stinging & burning like they’re on fire. Naproxen taken.
