I woke around 4:45 after hearing a loud whistle in my dream . God brought to mind a song I learned long ago. I remember teaching it to children when I helped my Mom with Patch the Pirate club at Cloverleaf. I thank God for precious servant’s of God like Ron Hamilton who wrote this song. I hope to teach it to our children one day at Pine Air.
I share in hope’s to being a blessing to someone else who may need it today.
Ron wrote this song back when he first was diagnosed with cancer in his left eye. Though Ron and Shelly did not understand all that God was doing at that moment, they learned to commit themselves to God’s gracious hand and let Him do what He knew was best.
While I don’t comprehend God’s purpose, I do know and have peace that God has a plan. I pray that I too shall come forth as gold and bring glory to God through it all. Praying that God will turn this trial in a blessing.
Oh Rejoice In The Lord
By Ron Hamilton
Verse 1
God never moves without purpose or plan
When trying His servant and molding a man.
Give thanks to the LORD though your testing seems long;
In darkness He giveth a song.
Chorus
O Rejoice in the LORD
He makes no mistake,
He knoweth the end of each path that I take,
For when I am tried and purified,
I shall come forth as gold.
Verse 2
I could not see through the shadows ahead;
So I looked at the cross of my Savior instead.
I bowed to the will of the Master that day;
Then peace came and tears fled away.
Chorus
O Rejoice in the LORD
He makes no mistake,
He knoweth the end of each path that I take,
For when I am tried and purified,
I shall come forth as gold.
Verse 3
Now I can see testing comes from above;
God strengthens His children and purges in love.
My Father knows best, and I trust in His care;
Through purging more fruit I will bear.
Chorus
O Rejoice in the LORD
He makes no mistake,
He knoweth the end of each path that I take,
For when I am tried and purified,
I shall come forth as gold.
Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take:w hen he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
