My daughter’s class had opportunity to visit the WWII museum in LA yesterday. She brought me home this postcard.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
The Gospels are full of stories of people who sought the Lord for healing. He healed the blind, the lame, the lepers, the paralytic, the deaf, the diseased, and many more. He healed them completely – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. He is Jehovah Rapha- the God who heals.
Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Most importantly, Jesus came to sacrifice Himself in our place that we might obtain eternal life.
1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I believe Jesus still heals today. No matter what ails us we can leave all our anxieties at the mercy seat. All we have to do is ask.
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
While healing can take years, we can rest certain that we can rely in God’s timing. We tolerate pain because it allows us to become more reliant on God and draw closer to Him. He utilizes time to mold us into His likeness.
Isaiah 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
God wants to heal every part of our lives – body, heart, mind, and soul. In faith, trust, and confidence, go to Him and pray for healing, knowing He has the final word, and trust that it is always within His will.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
With God, ALL things are possible!
