Shine As The Brightness Of The Firmament

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.  Daniel 12:3

Many people strive to find themselves in the spotlight to shine as stars in the world only to find that it lasts but for a moment.  In Daniel 12:3, God gives us instructions on how we can be eternal stars – by leading others to Him.  We can become genuine stars – radiantly lovely in God’s eyes – if we share our Lord with others!

And they that be wise – 

Those who genuinely strive to be rooted and grounded in Christ’s word and doctrine will shine. Their lives will shine as a light to all those around them through their righteous living and the sincerity of their beliefs.

And they that turn many to righteousness —

Those who put their faith in action by living in obedience to God’s commands, serving with compassion, and sharing the Gospel with others will draw people to Christ. We ought to be examples of Christ through our daily living.  God’s Word is something we live out, not just read or contemplate. Trust, faith, and belief must have actions to back them up. (James 5:19-20; 1 Peter 4:7-9)
