HAPPY FEBRUARY!!!
We are traveling through the Bible this year to learn about God’s promises. This January, we have already written down 31 promises, and we are now looking for another 28 promises from God in the Bible.
This month, we will be journaling a verse from John 14.
Together, let’s examine this promise made by Jesus.
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. John 14:18-19
Christ reassures His disciples that having faith in Him equals having faith in God. Knowing Christ means being connected with “the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6). Christians should have faith in Jesus’ words, actions, and miracles in order to trust that He will keep His promises.
Among them is His assurance that He is preparing to come to get us so we can be where He is. Jesus also foretells the presence of the Holy Spirit. Only believers have access to this, and this Holy Spirit will function as a mentor, instructor, and reminder for us. These comments are intended to provide consolation under trying circumstances for both the disciples and future Christians. We can have even more faith in Christ because He was aware of what would happen before it did.
Turn to Christ.
Draw night to Him and seek His presence.
